A handful of recommended readings from the past week.
A sense of Belonging – 3 part series (14 minute read)
A three part series on 'product-led communities' by Spero Ventures, an investor that has been thinking about community for a long time (and has released this long read to prove it!) What is their key insight about product-led communities? They orient people around a product or service that helps people achieve a valuable future outcome, and also foster authentic connection and the pursuit of shared goals, which can be valuable to companies, as well as society.
Community Capitalism (21 min read)
This is another long one, but well worth the read if you find the time this weekend! To quote the article: "'Community Capitalism' argues that firms should not focus solely on their customers, but also on communities—so that all members of the community succeed—and all stakeholders benefit, over time."
